If you have a French Bulldog with food allergies (like my Grimly, who reacts to everything except love and cuddles), you know how hard it is to find treats that won’t trigger itching, redness, and that endless paw-licking session. That’s why I created this super tasty and safe recipe for our little furry friends!
🐾 Recipe: Allergy-Free Frenchie Bites
Ingredients:
-
1 cup coconut flour (grain-free, perfect for allergies) Buy here
-
1/2 cup organic pumpkin (soothing for the tummy) Buy here
-
1 tablespoon coconut oil (for a shiny coat) Buy here
-
1 egg (if tolerated, otherwise swap for mashed banana!) Buy here
-
1 teaspoon honey (just a touch of sweetness) Buy here
-
1 tablespoon chia seeds (for Omega-3 and digestion support) Buy here
👩🍳 Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Meanwhile, grab a bowl and prepare for your Frenchie to stare at you like you’re holding the meaning of life.
-
Mix all the ingredients until you get a firm dough. If your Frenchie assistant tries to steal a piece, congratulations—the taste test is already a success.
-
Shape small cookies (use a bone-shaped mold for extra cuteness!) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake for about 15 minutes, until golden and crispy. At this point, your Bulldog will enter “extreme oven-monitoring mode.”
-
Let them cool completely before serving. Warning: your Frenchie may activate food radar and follow you around the house.
Grimly’s Official Test:
As soon as I took these treats out of the oven, Grimly put his obsession with balls on hold and stared at the plate like he had just had a revelation. After the first bite, he did his signature “Frenchie happy dance,” so I can officially say this recipe is 100% approved
